Facilities

Our experimental facilities greatly empower our research. With them, we provide a comprehensive set of know-how in applied electromagnetism to fellow researchers and industry, in both Canada and abroad. Facilities are also used to train graduate and undergraduate students.

Signal and Power Integrity Laboratory (NEW!)

This state-of-the-art laboratory brings to the Toronto region unique measurement capabilities:

  • S parameters measurement up to 67 GHz
  • 8 ports measured simultaneously
  • Excellent dynamic range (116 dB at 67 GHz)
  • Keysight N5227A vector network analyzer with U3047AM04 extension test set

This setup is ideal for:

  • Signal integrity (characterization of backplanes, high-speed connectors, chip packages,...)
  • Power integrity
  • MIMO antennas

  • semi-anechoic chamber for millimeter waves
  • 1.5m planar near field scanner
  • rapid prototyping facilities
